Charities - Katies Place

At Corporate Cleaning Services we feel it is important to share our success with those who aren't as fortunate as we are. In keeping with this concept we have chosen a few charities to which we contribute on a regular basis.

Our office fosters two FIV cats from Katies Place Animal Shelter. Due to their medical issues these cats are not allowed to go outside or associate with other cats. So, having them live at our office is perfect for both the cats and for our staff. If you ever attend our office you will surely notice Robbie and Snacks sitting in on our meetings to ensure everything is going well.

Katie's Place is a volunteer-run animal shelter in Maple Ridge We rescue and nurture animals, and we are a no-kill shelter. Two principals guide us: all life is valuable, and we are responsible for improving the quality of life for all those in our care. We make no judgment on whose life is worth rescuing. The sick, elderly and homely are as precious to us as the healthy, young and attractive. We advocate for the provision of responsible, respectful and compassionate care to animals within our community.

Meet Robbie! Meet Snacks! Friends!

ROBBIE and SNACKS (click the picture for a larger view) Robbie and Snacks are exceptionally lucky. They both have FIV and they found a new home together as office cats in a busy office where they have lots of space and love. Snacks was young and pretty. But Robbie, well, his greatest asset was his loving personality. Snacks was too young to have endured much in life so far. But Robbie had suffered real hardship in his life on the streets. "Robbie and Snacks are now part of our staff. Robbie is his normal mellow self and does everything in slow motion. He likes to sit on the lap of the lady who opens our office at 9am. Once other people arrive, he goes around and talks to everyone. He likes belly rubs and to lie in the sun and look out the window. Snacks is a real trouble maker. She gets into everything!! She jumps on your keyboard when you are typing, or stands in front of your monitor. She likes to watch the paper come out of the printer or the fax machine. She stands on the toilet seat and plays in the water (yuck)!!! She also plays in her own water dish and splashes water all over the place. If you open a drawer, she will jump in there. The other day she was inside an accordian file. She had filed herself under "H". I can only assume that this stands for Hooligan. She makes everyone laugh. Both cats are very happy and outgoing. They do argue with each other a bit, but as you can see from the picture, they secretly love one another. Anyway, everyone in our office is very happy that we have them."
